The New and Improved.

Kris leaned into Beast, sobbing and shaking her head in denial of Colin's disappearance.

TimeSkip: Two days. Time: 7 PM

"Alright everyone, as long as we're clear." Beast said, pacing back and forth in front of all of the students, and canon xmen. Everyone was dressed in their uniforms. "We go in. We retrieve Colin and Alex. And we get out. Nothing else."

Kris was in the back of the room, her hair in a ponytail. Her eyes were weary and dry from an obscene amount of crying. But, now she was ready to get Colin back.

Artemis, who had replaced his own belt buckle with the clasp of his sash, kept his neutral expression, hiding his growing panic. "Shouldn't we be leaving, then?" He called, intense green eyes focused on Hank, hands clasped behind his back.

Leia had her arms crossed. She had on her uniform, which was nothing that specific. It was a one piece uniform, black, with teal markings. She wore black leather combat boots as well. Her teal hair was in a ponytail. "If we're going into the MRD, this should be our chance. Kill two birds with one stone."

"Leia." Beast said, turning to her. "One move from you that is against what I have already said, and you'll be put back into school, and that'll be it. No team. Understood?" He said crossly as he began to head for the Blackbird.

The team used the X-Jet in order to infiltrate the MRD. It had camouflage, and provided easy exit and entrance into the high-maintenance headquarters.

Within an hour, they arrived at the building, camouflaged inside the jet. They awaited Beasts' instructions for teams and their plan on retrieving Alex and Colin.

Leia leaned against the wall with her arms crossed. She had tossed out her gum and was waiting. Her mind still reeled from the fact that she wad in fact an X-Men.

"Kris." Beast said, turning to her. "You and storm can take charge of Colin's rescue team. Artemis, you and I will go after Alex." He said. And split everyone into each side.

Kris breathed steadily, nodding to the blue-furred man. Her heart was racing, and was in a rush to find Colin. She and Storm made her way towards the entrance, along with her rescue-team. (leia pick a side)

Artemis shot off into flight, his mind quickly beginning to scan for information and mutants as he headed toward the building.

Five mutants, all dressed in red, navy, and gold uniforms, snuck through the halls, they, too, looking for a kidnapped member of their team. They quickly dashed past two guards, before dissipating into golden light.

Both teams, near simultaneously, were ambushed by sentinels/ and mrd soldiers.

"Haha yes! Bitches are getting what's coming to them!" Leia's eyes blazed as she fought a couple of soldiers.

Storm alerted them, "Soldiers and sentinels, watch out!" She said, as she took a-flight and attempting in every-way to destroy/kill the forces.

Kris sprouted jet-wings from her back, her hand turning into a mechanical whirring sword. She rushed at a sentinel, which easily shot her back into a building, the building collapsing with the brute force and impact, Kris becoming harmed in the process.

Storm rushed over to help Kris, using wind to remove some of the rubble on top of her. She picked her up, and her head was gashed, and it was possible her arm was broken. She rushed her back to the X-Jet, and went back to fighting while a few of the mutants that had stayed behind attempted to help her.

Beast roared as he slashed through the chest of a sentinel, and went four MRD soldiers flying in the process into a nearby wall. After what seemed like forever, they found Alex. No sight of Colin. Alex was beaten to the point he was barely recognizable. Beast picked him up, and everyone began to fall out of the battle.

Leia backed out of the building, her face becoming pale at the sight of all the soldiers and Sentinels. She fell back, quickly getting back up and started running. Her hand behind her, using a sheild to cover her in the slightest.

The team of five reappeared with Artemis and Beast, the same golden energy trailing them. A brunette member created a team of clones, eyes flashing with gold as she did. She sent them off to attack before a Sentinel stabbed through her chest, leaving her independently replicating clones. Sterling's body was overtaken with the golden energy, before he shot through a Sentinel, destroying it in the process. As the clones continued to army build and fight, a hooded man watched over the fight, before disappearing. The man's glowing gold eyes took over a clone's deep brown.

Artemis, watching over the fight carefully, quickly came up with a plan. Within seconds, he had landed a hard and rushed slap against the clone's exposed arm. Golden light and purple smoke filled his otherwise white eyes, both fading almost instantly. Tugging on his unremoved cape, a Sentinel managed its blow through his chest, blood smothering the chrome finish of its blade. He fell limp, sliding off the blade slowly to hit the floor.

As beast had just put Alex in the jet, he turned around to see Artemis being killed. His eyes turned a light shade of red.(idk) and he launched himself at the sentinel, ripping it to shreds, and taking on two more before falling to the floor next to Arty, he picked him up, and took him back to the jet, and then they took off.

The two were sent into the operating rooms, Artemis practically bleeding out and Kris with possible brain damage. The two were both unconscious since the fight. Alex was unconscious, and contained many injuries along his body. Colin was still not found.

Four Days Later: Artemis's Funeral: It was an overcast day, with light wind and a cool 71 degrees.

Nearly every staff member and student stood around the casket outside of the mansion. A picture of Alex and Artemis laughing together stood next to it. Alex stood beside it with his father, with tears running down his face. His face was still bruised and cut from the beatings.

Kris had suffered memory loss when she got the blow to the head, and she now remembered barely anything of her childhood, and nothing of Colin.

Leia was there, but not with the others. She stood with her hands held in front of her, her head down. Not to steal the moment or anything, but this was when she realized how much being in a team meant to her. Artemis was dead. Colin was probably dead, and what made it worse was that Kris remembered nothing. She felt bad that she was the only not in much pain, physical or emotional. Her simple black dress ruffled as she looked up, her eyes dry but  at her fighting it. She wasn't going to cry. Not at this.

Kris stood next to Leia, her head down in sadness of Artemis' death. She had amnesia when she awoke, but she knew that Artemis was her best friend. The mansion was gloomy and quiet since their fight with the MRD, and it seemed as if the X-Men's happiness died along with Artemis.

Leia glanced over to Kris, "You should go.. help.. Alex," she mumbled. She looked to where the Alex and Beast stood, then back to Kris. "You probably are the best person able to help."

Kris nodded to Leia, making her way to Alex, "It'll better soon," She murmured to Alex, reassuring him and herself.

Alex looked at her, his eyes red. He shook his head, and put it on her shoulder, sobbing.

Just then, Colin walked up to the group, his uniform was burned, torn and revealing, his hair was matted to his head, and he was scarred and bruised. He took one more step, and fell passed out, at Kris's feet.
