The New and Improved.

Kris was searching Alexs' room, digging clothes out of heaps of piles. She was searching for any reason why Alex left without notice, and hasn't come back. She called to Artemis, "Are you sure he's not picking up your phone and like, maybe just blocked you?" Kris said.

Colin entered the room after Kris. "Nothing reported missing in the hanger, his car is still here as well." He said, looking around the room, frustrated.

Artemis leaned in the room's doorway, watching the floor with dull eyes. "As, ahem, 'tech savvy' as I am, I hardly use my phone. Hell of a lot more rare for me to call my teacher enough to warrant a block. Besides, I've already searched the room, there's nothing in there." He said to Kris, the clasp of his sash turned away from sight.

Kris sighed and threw her hands up in the air, "Well, what the hell are we supposed to do now?" She said.

"Pfft, hell if I know." Artemis muttered, shrugging. "Aren't you two supposed to be, like, responsible or some shit? You could do your job." He continued, before walking off, arms folded across his chest. He returned to his room, making sure that his door was locked once inside. What was to be his planned mural was now a haphazardly hung, torn-up sketch, laying out his original plan.

Kris put her hands on her hips, then walked over to Colin, embracing him in a hug, "What are we going to do now?" She breathed, voice somewhat muffled by Colin's t-shirt.

Leia watched the others go back and forth, leading against the wall. She chewed on her gum, blowing a bubble.

"I. I honestly don't know." Colin said, putting his chin on the top of her head and putting his arms across her back, hugging her and sighing.

Leia sighed, bouncing off the wall, pushing off with her foot. She walked to her room. She put on black ripped jeans, a black tank top, black combat boots, and a black leather jacket. She pulled her hair from under the collar and walked downstairs and out the door to the garage. She got into her scrappy car, starting it and waiting for a moment to see if anyone would react. The others had checked everywhere so obviously he wasn't there.

Kris sighed, pushing away from Colin and into the living room, where she turned on the TVto the news channel.

Colin walked into the living room, his hands on his head, he sighed and sat down next to her.


After a few minutes, a message displayed across the screen. "Miss us?"-MRD and that was all, and then it went back to the normal programming.

Colin stood up, his fists clenched. "I know where Alex is. Stay here, I'll send out a mental OSS to Artemis if I need help." He said, kneeling beside Kris. In his head, the times that he was beaten, and tortured by the MRD flashed before him. "Let Wolverine know where I'm going, he may want to join in." He said, and then kissed her before getting up and walking to his room, where he got dressed in his uniform.

Kris walked after him, "Your definitely not going alone." Kris said, crossing her arms, "This is the MRD we're talking about."

"I know. And that's why I'm going." Colin said, putting on his gloves and turning to Kris. "I can't take the chance of you getting hurt. I'll be in and out, find Alex, get out. That's it. I'll be back before you go to sleep." Colin said, putting his hands on her cheeks and looking into her eyes. "It's fine."

Kris sighed, placing her hand over Colin's hand. She leaned in to hug him, "Promise?" She asked, distraught and hesitating to letting Colin leave.

"Promise." Colin said, putting his forehead to hers, and then embracing her in a hug, and a kiss.

"Fine," Kris said, stepping back and opening the door, "You better keep your promises." Kris said, with a smile to ease both herself and Colin.

Colin nodded and walked down the stairs, heading to the front door. (Now anyone who wants to control canon mutant can enter.)

Beast made his way down the stairs, crossing his arms as he looked at Colin, "And where are you going?" He questioned, his glasses perched on the bridge of his nose.

"To get your son." Colin retorted as he opened the front door. "The MRD has him."

"Then I'm going with. Duties as a father, you see." Beast said, climbing up the stairs. In almost an instant, he was in his X-Uniform (UNDERWEARZ), and was ready to go. "We'll take the jeep." Beast said, taking the car keys and heading out the door.

Kris watched as Colin left, sighing and falling onto the couch face-down.

About four hours later, Beast returned to the mansion, his fur was singed and torn, and he was bloody. He stumbled in, and fell onto the floor.


Colin and he had put up a fight, and Colin sacrificed himself to allow beast to escape, to let the others know. When beast had last seen him, Colin was pinned to the floor by a sentinel, and MRD soldiers began to close in on him.

Kris was in the kitchen, making herself dinner; something Colin did for her since she was too lazy. "You back Colin?" She called, taking off her apron and running to the front entrance. "Beast?" She gasped, then kneeled down next to him. "What the hell happened?" She said, examining his injuries. Kris looked around, "Wait... where's Colin?"

Beast groaned as he sat up. "He." He said, coughing. "He distracted them while I got away. He was cornered. I. I couldn't do anything." He said, looking up at Kris. "I'm so sorry. He could still be alive though, possibly with Alex. It's just.. Very slim."

Kris stood, backing up, emotions flooding at her. "You're sorry? My fiance is out there, with a slim chance he's even alive!" Kris breathed, having both a panic attack and furious.

"Kris." Beast said, grabbing her shoulders. "He's a survivor, he's been tortured by them before. He can make it, all I'm saying. Is that he was surrounded by sentinels and MRD guards, and he was still putting up a fight. He killed two Sentinels himself. He probably allowed them to take him hostage, to get closer to Alex."
