The New and Improved.

The Date is Janurary 7th, A little bit after noon. The grounds outside the school is covered in snow, and the tree's are barren. It's about ten degree's outside, and the fountain is frozen mid stream. The inside of the mansion is warm, and cozy. School is going on, and at the moment, most of the students sat in the Tech lab class, taught by Professor Alexander McCoy.

"Alright, Scarlet. Tell me what the third law of motion is." Alex said, walking from behind his desk, holding a laser pointer in his hand as he walked towards the first desk. He tapped Scarlet's desk with the laser pointer, and looked at the rest of the class, Artemis, Drake, nearly everyone that he could call a friend was here. But he had a job to do, and that wasn't to be a friend, at least not now.

Karai set her feet on the empty desk in front of her, rolling her amber eyes with boredom. She twiddled a piece of her black and red hair on her thumb, chewing loudly on a stick of gum.

Scarlet was half asleep, but sort of woke up due to being asked a question, "For every action, there is an equal reaction, or somthin'" She says, trying to stifle a yawn, but failing. She had gotten about an hour of sleep, and it showed. The real question is, did Scarlet care that everyone knew she was exhausted and hates everyone right now? No, she really couldn't care less, that was a side effect of her exhaustion.

"Right." Alex said, rolling his eyes and nodding, approving that she go to sleep. "Karai, what is the second law of motion?" He asked, walking around the room. The light was off, and a pale light shined in through the window in the back of the room.

"Uh.." Karai blew a bubble with her gum, popping it then blinking at the Proffesor."The second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables - the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object." She replied with a smirk on her face, popping another bubble in the Proffesor's direction.

Scarlet was too stuborn to admit defeat and submit to the will of her exhaustion, or at least, that is how she looked at it. There was that, and it would screw up her sleep schedule even more so than now. So Scarlet had Insano constantly talk, but before long, her eyes were red, and Insano had taken over. Yes, Insano was tired, but, she was more stuborn than Scarlet, so she took notes on the important things.

"Good job." Alex said, walking over to Karai, he walked behind her, and as he passed, hit the back of her head, without much force, and her gum went flying out and onto the floor. "Another piece miss, and you'll have to stay for detention." He said, looking around at the students. "Tomorrow I will issue a Two part Essay on the laws of motion, and the effects they have on normal, everyday lives. First part, will be three hundred words. Second part, 500. More information will be said tomorrow." He said, raising his hand up in the air, and heading over to his desk. "Free time until the bell rings." He said as he sat down.

"You okay?" Drake asked, standing up and walking over to Scarlet's desk. He sat on the edge of it, putting his hand on the top of her head.

Karai scoffed at Alexander, and shot him a nasty look. She formed the metal she had so carefully created into a bracelet around her wrist, and made it into some sort of headrest. She rested her chin on it, looking around as everyone talked to eachother. She had a bored expression on her face.
"Can we just /go home/?" She hissed at the teacher.

"Shhh, Scarlet is asleep." Insano says, looking up at Drake. "She's fine, she just hasn't been able to sleep for the past few days, something is wearing down on her, but we both have no idea what." Insano says in a low voice. It was true, whatever was going on in Scarlet's mind was keeping her awake, but, both Insano and Scarlet both knew it was Scarlet thinking about the past and everything that has lead up to her life now, and neither of them wanted to talk about it, not even to each other.

Drake nodded, and picked Scarlet up out of her chair, carrying her to her dorm room.

Just then, the bell rang. "Lunch time everyone." Alex said, standing up and opening the door. He exited, and began making his way to the cafeteria. "Sandwich day, my favorite." He grinned, stopping briefly in line to speak to Wolverine about teacher stuff.

Karai groaned, forming the metal into a bracelet and sprinting to the cafeteria.
It was her second day here, and she still had no one to sit with.
Not that she cared, of course..
After her tray had multiple sandwiches on it, she looked around at all the tables, scanning for an empty seat...away from annoying idiots.
And everyone here seemed to be one of those.

Scarlet was half awake, and Scarlet, for a moment, and it was long enouugh to say a quick thank you to Drake before falling back asleep, her eyebrows twitch every once in a while, but other thsn thst, she looked relatively peaceful.

Brady walked into the kitchen and looked down at his sandwich. A normal ham and cheese. "Could use some lettuce..." He mutter and walked into the courtyard. He placed his hand onto the dirt and a head of lettuce, Brady picked it up Brady placed a leaf on his sandwich. "Now it's perfect." He said and bit into the delicious sandwich.

Karai had about five sandwiches on her tray, and she was already working on the second one.
She looked around, still unable to find a seat. She peered outside, spotting someone in the courtyard for a moment. She blinked, then sat down at an empty table, now beginning to consume her third sandwich.
"Omnomnomnom.."

Alice made her way to the cafeteria, sitting at an empty table, away from everyone; or at least, at a distance. Alice focused mainly on her food. She was too shy to make much friends, but deeply wanted to involve herself with others.

Karai spotted Alice, shoving her fourth sandwich in her mouth as she made her way over to sit by her.
"Hi, this seat taken?" She kicked her legs up on the table, her voice a bit muffled as she had a whole sandwich stuffed in her mouth.

Alice shook her head to Karai, "No, I guess it is now though." Alice murmured, eating a salad quietly. She had seen and heard of Karai; the sadistic and rebel-ish new mutant.

"Why a salad? That isn't filling at all." Karai formed the metal on her wrist into a fork, eating up the macaroni side dish she had grabbed.
"I'm Karai Kyoto, by the way, you're Alice right?" She gave a smirk in greeting, sticking out her hand while still eating the macaroni.

Alice nodded, "Yeah, nice to meet you." She smiled, shaking her hand, and shrugging at her salad. "Tastes good, I suppose."

Artemis walked into the cafeteria, tugging at each end of his bright, leather yellow jacket. His black cloth satchel was, finally, strapped over his shoulder, the strap's collection of buttons rattled softly as he walked. Black jeans, a grey v-neck, and yellow boots completed the outfit. As he adjusted his auburn hair-Styled in a weak pompadour-he headed toward a table.

"Oh. I prefer meat..and filling shit." Karai responded, glancing at Alice for a moment. She then turned to Artemis, glancing his way.
"Mother of yellow...my eyes burn."

Alice let out a small laugh at Karai's comment towards Artemis' appearance. A few moments later, she threw away her finished salad and pulled up her striped blue-and-white backpack, shifting through some things. "What's the next class?" She asked to no one in particular, but then realized that nobody probably knew it other than Alex.
