The New and Improved.

Kris nodded, "Right, well, thanks for cooking." Kris took a seat at a nearby table, "So, I guess, since I like, lost my memories and stuff, tell me about... you and me." She said, clearing her throat.

"Well, we both grew up in Maui, and in about 8th grade, we began dating." Colin began, and then he told their entire story, every bit of it, periodically taking a bite of his food. "And then, just about a month or so ago, I proposed."

Kris looked at him, "Really?" She said, finishing the last of her meal. "I really don't remember any of that."

"Well, all of it happened." Colin said, smiling slightly as he looked at her. A tear poked it's way to the surface of his right eye, and slowly streamed down his cheek, he wiped it and sighed, looking into his food.

Kris looked at him, then set down her fork and knife. "I'm sorry. It's just that, I see you and... I just see some guy I don't know, but I'm supposed to know you, and love you, and be with you. Sorry." Kris said, then sighed deeply as she ran her fingers over her scar on her forehead.

"It's fine." Colin said, his voice shaking as he twirled his fork in his food. "It's just, I fought off sentinel, after sentinel, MRD soldier after soldier, I never gave up. Just because I had to get back to you. Not because I wanted to. But because I had to. I worked my mutation so much I'm surprised I'm not dead, I fought so hard my arms feel like stiff pieces of styrofoam. Only to find out, that the only reason I live, doesn't even remember who I am." He said, all without looking up.

Kris looked at Colin, then stood, "Come on, we're going to see some colored vigilantes." Kris said, taking Colin by his hand and to the house the new group now lived in. She knocked on their door, placing her hands on her hips as she waited.

Sterling answered the door, wearing blue jeans and a faded red v-neck. "Can I help you?" He asked, eyeing the two suspiciously. Behind him was the rest of the team, either working on mapping out the mansion's security systems or patching up their uniforms.

Kris nodded, "You guys don't happen to have a telepath in your circus, do you?" She questioned. She still didn't much trust the rainbow-team, but she felt an obligation to Colin, and to herself, to at least attempt to retrieve her memories.

Sighing, Sterling turned to face the others. "New Kid, c'mere." He called. The youngest member raised his head, before rushing to the three. Still wearing his 'uniform', he pushed past Sterling, who walked away as soon as he could. "Yes?"

Kris looked down at the teenage boy, sighing, "I need you to give me my memories back. It's sort of a brain damage thing, but I'm not too sure how these telepathy things work. Just, try not to make me brain-dead." She said, "Can you do that?"

Nodding, 'New Kid' stepped away, walking to his small corner of belongings. Taking a blue, metallic headpiece with a red gem in its forehead, he slid it over his head, before returning to the two. "Telepathic-slash-Telekinetic amplifier, found it on some kid's old uniform in the mansion." He explained. He closed his eyes as the red gem began to glow, creating a holographic bird in its center. 

Soon, Kris's memories came flooding back, the process ending in seconds.

Kris stumbled, her hand against a wall to gain balance as the memories came back. She looked up at Colin, as all her memories hit her. She passed out, leaning into Colin.

"If this worked. Thank you so much." Colin said, his eyes sincere as he picked Kris up in his arms. "If she dies, I'll rip each and every one of your friends a part, piece by piece, and feed them to you." He said, laughing slightly afterward, however he was serious.

Leia walked into the kitchen, seeing the food. "Hm," she went to the freezer and microwaved a tv dinner. As she waited, she looked out the window.

TIMESKIP: The Next Day 9:00 AM

Kris stirred in Colins' bed, blinking awake.

Colin still slept, his back to Kris, the day was stormy and gray, and rain hit the window.

Kris ran her fingers through her bed-hair. She laid there as she recollected her memories, then turned over to find Colin, sitting up quickly as she remembered him.

Colin opened his eyes groggily, yawning as he stared distantly at the ceiling. He blinked a few times, as he attempted to wake up fully. He sat up, and looked at Kris, then his eye's went wide. "Did it work?" He asked frantically, turning in the bed so that the two were facing.

Kris turned to Colin, then breathed, "Yeah." She said, then grinned, "It worked!" She said, leaping at Colin and embracing him, "I'm so happy you're back."

Colin gripped her tight, laughing into her shoulder. "You have no idea." He said, pulling away from her shoulder to look at her. "I thought I'd lost you for good." He said, he then put his hands on her cheeks and kissed her intently.

Kris kissed back, then fell back into the bed with Colin, snuggling with him.

Colin closed his eyes and put his head next to Kris's. "I'll never leave again." He said, putting his forehead to hers. "Not even if you beg."

Kris closed her eyes, "You better keep that promise." She sighed deeply, then fell back into her slumber.

"Promises, broken so easily, with devastating results." A voice announced through the mansion, its pitch varying from insane depths to near-inaudible heights, before the campus' electricity shut off, vents filling with yellow-tinted smoke. The loud crash of a shattering window played through the speakers. Television, computer, and security screens regained power, only to display the symbol of the Black Wasp.
